People
We are an Architecture practice based in Haslemere, with current projects in central London, greater London, Surrey, Kent and Dublin.
Many of our projects involve designing people’s homes; however, we have extensive experience in a variety of sectors including sports and recreation, hotel and leisure and large scale residential housing.
What inspires me first and foremost is people, and creating a solid client relationship based on trust. I find that good design naturally emanates from here. Secondly, much of my inspiration comes from the site itself and designing around inherent constraints is something I have always enjoyed. This has led me to qualify as a Conservation Registrant with RIBA, and many of our projects have involved innovative additions to listed buildings or working within conservation areas.
As you will see from our projects, I enjoy introducing indirect daylight and solid natural materials that look beautiful initially, and will weather and age in a way that only improves with time.
I studied at Liverpool University, University College Dublin and the University of Westminster in London. In 2014 I joined the award winning practice Michaelis Boyd Architects, where I was fortunate to become a Director and work on the apartments for Battersea Power Station and the refurbishment of The Marylebone Hotel in addition to numerous private residential commissions both in the UK and abroad.
In 2021, I established my own practice working on residential projects ranging from town house refurbishments and new builds to rural listed buildings including swimming pools and poolhouses. My particular expertise is in construction detailing and understanding how a design can be built and fully realised. This is borne out of a long standing interest in the amazing and beautiful properties of wood and how it can be threaded through the design in a unique and innovative manner.
